1978 Spitfire, 1980 TR7-V6

Spitfire, Back in the 60"s (no not 1860 either) we bought a 1962 MG Midget, it was an ornery, cantankerous little beast, but we had a lot of fun in that car, which simply washed away all of it's shortcomings.

Back to the future: When an opportunity came to buy a basket case 1978 Spitfire for $1000.00. The full intention was to stick it back together and sell it: for profit( hopefully).

That is; until we started to drive it. Hey; this car is as much fun as remembered, but the best part was,  that it was a pretty reliable ride to boot: unlike it's predecessor.

But enough of this stuff, on to the pictures.

A nice shot of the car at the Gratiot Dream Cruise 2004, check out those magnetic stick on Flames ( wouldn't be caught dead with them any other time).

Nothing like a pit stop a Baskin and Robbins with the/my  co-pilot.

How about some "Haulin" in your Spit:

Maybe " truckin" that water heater home (above), or:

Maybe a brand new lawnmower: we where quite a hit at Home Depot amongst a sea of pickup trucks.

TR7-V6

When first saw this car at the Battle of the Brits Car Show in 2002 little did I know that it would sit in our driveway in 2005.

This car has a 3.8 Liter Hi performance Buick V6 installed (many mods.), Racing Turbo 350 Transmission, and indestructible Ford 9 inch rear axle. It is a work in progress, hope to have it ready for the Texas VTR convention this summer. Some Pictures Below:

As you can see there is some work to do, but it should be worth it: IT IS Something different even for a Triumph.
